Dressing Up

I really enjoyed Tracy’s  dressing recipe so much I was going to make it again. But then, I wanted to be creative! So, I pulled out all ingredients that I had thought would be good in dressing.

I decided I would make two different dressings. A cilantro lime one, and an orange ginger one.

The cilantro lime dressing had :

a handful of fresh cilantro
1/4 c. lime juice
2 pinches of lime sea salt
4 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1 cup oil

The orange ginger dressing had :

1 large orange
4 cloves of garlic
1.5 inch of ginger
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
4 tbsp Braggs liquid aminos
1 tbsp. stone ground mustard
1 cup oil

Both were just whirred up in the blender until smooth.

So easy, and so fun! They came out really delicious, and very strong! The cilantro lime one is smooth and cooling but really vibrant with the lime.  The orange ginger does taste similar to the kind you’d have at a Japanese restaurant, but the ginger is quite spicy! Its the kind of flavor that kind of sits in your lungs awhile after you eat it.

If you have a blender of any sort, you should definitely try and make your dressings. Its like a really tasty science experiment!
